The Coat of Arms features a shield with a golden lion passant guardant with a red background, representing Great Britain. Above the shield, there is a turtle with a rope around its neck, representing the traditional Caymanian turtle fishing industry.

Below the shield, there is a scroll. It bears the Latin motto “He Hath Founded It Upon the Seas” written in black letters, representing the country’s maritime history and heritage.
