The flag of Moldova consists of three horizontal bands of equal width. The top and bottom bands have a blue color, while the middle band has a yellow color. In the center of the flag, there is the national coat of arms of Moldova.  It features a golden eagle holding an Orthodox Christian cross in its beak and a scepter in its talons, with a shield on its chest depicting an aurochs (a type of wild ox) head. An olive branch and a rose branch flank the shield. A wreath of wheat ears and grape vines surrounds the coat of arms.
